As a rule of thumb, never play electro in a grill.
The crowd was actually ok, they had set up a stage upstairs from the regular "grill" area, but the soundguy was really unaccustomed to what all the acts there that evening had going. It was a mess..but we did our best to give it that noise edge and call it a night. It was also the only show I can recall that Bryan couldn't help me load in for..I had plenty of help at the venue, but getting there was a trip. One of the other acts, 4FR, brought a cool sci-fi film on a projector to run through the night behind us, which worked out awesome. I also recall meeting someone who reviewed my demo Embryonic and did a short interview afterwards, luckily he still liked it after my set:) The crowd was very supportive, several friends had showed up, even my mom was there..but yeah, shows are best played in good company.
